Febe's bio

In 2022, Febe Jooris became the first Belgian woman ever to win a medal at the World Championships in the time trial race. In Wollongong, Australia, she finished third in the junior race. She is also a two-time Belgian junior champion and will make her debut as an elite rider this year.

“I started cycling five years ago. Strangely enough it wasn’t love at first sight at all but I persevered and now I really enjoy this sport. Ellen van Dijk and Lotte Kopecky are my great examples in this.”

That is how we can also describe Febe. She is fast on the time trial bike but also strong in the classics. She brings atmosphere to the group and easily chats with everyone. She also spoke to the media about the future of women’s cycling.

“I’m a very talkative type,” she says. “I talk easily with everyone and I am very energetic, but I can also have quiet, subdued moments. But in short, I like ambiance and like to bring atmosphere to the team.”

Febe’s big dream is to one day be able to represent Belgium at the Olympic Games or the World Championships and then also win a medal in her beloved discipline: the time trial.

When she is not riding very aero through East Flanders, she is studying orthopedagogy. And she likes to be with friends and family, preferably with good food and yes, you guessed it, good ambiance.
