Jade's bio

Jade is one of the talented Belgian riders at AG Insurance - Soudal. The student of medicine already represented Belgium at the World Championships in 2022. Her example is Marianne Vos and she hopes to win the Tour of Flanders one day.

“I started cycling at the age of ten. My brother was the cyclist in the family and seeing him ride made me want that too. It was during the pandemic and the lockdowns that I got a lot of free time and got really passionate about the sport,” says Jade.

“By nature, I am a relaxed and calm person for whom respect, kindness and gratitude are important values,” she describes herself. “I have a lot of perseverance, which is useful for both cycling and my medical studies. My family is super important to me. They help me chase my dreams.”

Jade was part of the junior team in 2022 and has already been able to learn a lot. She is therefore happy to be able to grow within the project as a rider of the U23 team.

“I have already become a better rider and I want to keep improving. I like races that are long and hard. I dream of making cycling my profession, although I also want to finish my studies to be able to work in the hospital. I just don't know which direction yet, but it will all come.”
