Julia's Bio

Julia studies psychology at the University of Leiden where the Czech rider lives with her family. She has dual nationality and has been riding for AG Insurance - Soudal since 2022 on both the road and in cyclocross.

“I started cycling when I was twelve. I first did cross country running, but when I went to a bike race with my older brothers, I wanted to try that too. The rest is history,” she says with a smile.

As a rider, Julia is very all-round, although Paris-Roubaix is her great love and goal. That cannot be any other race as a cyclo-cross rider, of course.

“I really like the hectic pace of the Flemish races with wind and chaos. Also, in cyclocross the courses can't be hard enough for me. Then I'm at my best. I would like to go to the WorldTour and then of course ride the great classics and preferably also win.”

Julia describes herself as easy-going and sociable. She likes socializing with friends and teammates. In addition, she is determined and goes for her goals: both on the bike and at university.
