Mirre is active in both cyclocross and on the road. She has been part of the AG Insurance-Soudal Quick-Step project since her junior days and represented the cyclocross team already in 2020. This year she will make her debut with the U23 team.
“I find it difficult to describe myself in a few words, but I think I am outgoing and always try to see the positive side of things,” she says of herself.
“My specialty still has to develop a bit but it is moving towards time trials and competitions where short and explosive efforts are required, such as steep climbs. I am extremely motivated this season to further develop myself and take the next step.”
Mirre comes from an active family and is the third of four cycling sisters. She calls her parents her role models and dreams of – how could it be otherwise – Paris-Roubaix.
“I started when I was seven years old. At first, we all did gymnastics, but when my oldest sister Britt started cycling, we all started doing that,” says Mirre with a smile. "To this day, I'm happy with decision."
Mirre is very creative and musical. You can find her behind the piano or in the basement behind the drum kit. She is also learning to play the guitar. She also loves art and will be studying Creative Business from September. In addition to all the cycling, drawing and music, you will find Mirre with her friends, whom she sees as much as possible.
